Admission - Dialysis School of San Diego

To be eligible for admission to the School, a prospective student must meet the following requirements:

  • Provide proof of High School Diploma or G.E.D;
  • Must pass written entrance examination and interview
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Be able to read, write, speak and understand English language;
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test
  • Must be a US citizen or a permanent resident of the US
  • Submit health standards documentation (see Health Requirements below).
  • A valid picture ID and Social Security Card
  • Must have passion in helping patients combined with commitment and motivation to succeed

Health requirements

  • Physical Clearance form completed by your physician. Form provided upon registration.
  • Must be of good health
  • Lab results: Hepatitis B antibody and antigen. If Hepatitis antibody is negative (below 10), vaccination is encouraged before starting the program.
  • A negative TB skin test result within 3 months. If positive, clear chest x-ray is required.
  • Must provide copy of immunization record

Class Schedule

Didactic (in class): 7 weeks of classes (84 hours):
Tuesday 5:00PM to 9:00PM
Thursday 5:00PM to 9:00PM
Saturday 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

Clinical (hands on): (200 hours)
